In a recent journey, I prayed for an opportunity to witness.
I opened the Bible app on my smart phone. I told my travel-mate: "Can I show you something interesting from an app I have?" She, a young woman who worked in a private firm, readily consented. "We all look for happiness. For joy. This verse from the Bible talks about how that joy can come," I started.I opened to Luke 1:43-44. I pointed to the ability of Jesus to make you jump for joy, give happiness that no bearing on happenings, from there (Two pregnant women meet with the baby inside Elizabeth's womb jumping for joy)! To die for our sins, the formless, eternal God had to have a body. That's why he became a baby. That's the story of the first Christmas. You can read all about Him in the Bible" - I explained. None of us should be Zachariah-like (muted) during the Christmas season or any-season. We must witness. Earlier, walked a few bogies and gave the Gospel tract based on cricket magic moments featuring India. - Duke Jeyaraj
