    Dr. Duke Jeyaraj.

Thankfully, Jesus was no "hyper" grace preacher who preached the grace of God as a license for people to comfortably live in/stay in sin.

    Hear the words of Jesus:

Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you." - John 5:14

"No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you,"Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin." - John 8:11

Jesus also warned about coming judgement to audiences that included disciples (believers) and even missionaries (who can be called very serious believers).

Remember Lot's Wife! - Luke 17:32 (Remember Lot's Wife died when she had ''one last look" at sin! Remember that Mrs. Lot did not have lots of time to repent, turn from sin!). Luke 17:22 (Then he said to the disciples...) clearly states this teaching was for his "disciples".

Matthew 10:28 - "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (In a message given not just to believers, believers who were involved in mission. Check out Matthew 10:1,5 - this was part of his talk to the Twelve Disciples).

Curtis Hutson, wrote, "The greatest hell preacher of all time was the Lord Jesus. While on earth, he spoke only once describing heaven in John 14: "In my father's house there are many mansions"; but, he spoke about 14 distinct times, in the Bible, describing hell." (Great Preaching on Hell, Sword of the Lord Publishers, 1989).

Thank God for Jesus! He is enough! He is sufficient! He is my model in everything (including preaching content!)
